UFC heavyweight Alistair Overeem will be the next man to get a shot at the UFC Heavyweight Championship after Junior Dos Santos and Cain Velasquez fight later this year.

UFC President Dana White spoke about the heavyweight scene this past weekend during UFC 153 and stated that the plan as of now was for Overeem to face the winner in March or April.

UFC 155 takes place on Dec. 29th and features Dos Santos defending the title against Velasquez in a rematch of their November 2011 bout in which Dos Santos won the strap from Velasquez.

Overeem is riding out a suspension that lasts until December. He tested positive for high testosterone levels earlier this year. Dos Santos and Overeem were pegged as the headliner for UFC 146 in May of this year.
