Alistair Overeem Vs. Brett Rogers, Arlovski Vs. Silva On Tap For May

MMAWeekly has the scoop on the line up for the May 15th Strikeforce card:

Strikeforce has released details of a previously rumored show that will officially take place on May 15 in St. Louis. Heavyweight champion Alistair Overeem makes his long awaited return to the promotion where he will face heavy-handed striker Brett Rogers in the main event.

Also announced for the card is the return of former UFC heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski, who recently signed a multi-fight deal with Strikeforce, where he will face off against American Top Team fighter Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva.

While the bout between Overeem and Rogers is now official, Strikeforce representatives failed to notate if the bout would be for Overeem's heavyweight title. Sources indicated to MMAWeekly.com that the promotion was leaning towards making the fight a championship bout, but internal discussions are still ongoing at this time.
