Another Source Claims UFC 75 Will Air Free On Spike TV

The following is a blog from Houston Chronicle reporter Steve Sievert:

Spike TV to broadcast UFC 75 for free

UFC 75, featuring the light heavyweight unification bout between UFC champion Quinton Jackson and Pride titleholder Dan Henderson, will air free on Spike TV.

The agreement between the UFC and Spike is a major coup for fans, who will get to see a pay-per-view caliber show without coughing up PPV dollars. The London show on Sept. 8 will be carried tape-delayed, beginning at 8 p.m., Central.

In addition to the highly anticipated Jackson-Henderson bout, the card will have rising LHW contender Michael Bisping taking on Matt Hamill. The remaining seven bouts have yet to be announced.

In a related note, Spike and the UFC have yet to reach an agreement on an extension to their current broadcast deal, which runs through the middle of 2008. However, a source told Brawl Sports today that negotiations are “going well.”
