Fans looking forward to watching Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier finally settling their issues in the Octagon will have to wait longer than originally planned.
The news broke on Tuesday afternoon that Jones suffered an injury, forcing the Jones-Cormier bout to be postponed until January 3rd.
According to various reports, Jones suffered a torn meniscus in his left knee and a sprained ankle while doing some wrestling training on Monday.
As a result of the injury, Demetrious Johnson vs. Chris Cariaso for the UFC Flyweight Championship has been moved from the co-main event of UFC 177 on August 31st to the main event of UFC 178 on September 27th.
Jones-Cormier will now headline UFC 182 on January 3rd in Las Vegas, Nevada.
