Cat Zingano vs. Amanda Nunes Set For UFC 178 On September 27th

Number one ranked UFC Women’s Bantamweight contender Cat Zingano (8-0) finally has an official return date to the UFC Octagon.

The undefeated number one contender to Ronda Rousey’s title, Zingano, last fought in April of 2013, defeating Miesha Tate via third round TKO in her UFC debut.

Zingano will face number eight ranked UFC Women’s Bantamweight contender Amanda Nunes (9-3) on September 27, at UFC 178 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Nunes, who is 2-0 in the UFC thus far, last fought in November of 2013, defeating Germaine de Randamie via first round TKO.

UFC 178 takes place on September 27, 2014 at a venue soon to be announced in Las Vegas, Nevada, and features a highly anticipated main event rematch for the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship between Jon Jones and Alexander Gustaffson. Also scheduled for the show is the return of Dominick Cruz, as he takes on Takeya Mizugaki.
