Gina Carano vs. Cris Cyborg – Previous Fights

Gina Carano W 3 Kelly Kobold — Carano landed 50% of her total strikes (62 of 125) vs. Kobold. She varied her attack, landing 43 of 95 arm strikes (45%) and 19 of 30 leg strikes (63%- 9 kicks & 10 knees). Carano also registered one takedown (3rd round) and one submission attempt (3rd round). Carano played some defense as well, as Kobold landed just 26% of her total strikes (28 of 107).

Gina Carano KO 2 Kaitlin Young — Carano landed 56% of her total strikes (49 of 88) vs. Young. Again she varied her attack, landing 30 of 61 arm strikes (49%) and 17 of 24 leg strikes (71%-15 kicks and 2 knees). Young had her moments too, landing 31 of 78 total strikes (40%) including 17 of 33 leg strikes. Carano landed 35 of 59 (59%) total strikes in round two, causing Young’s right eye to swell shut. Ringside doctor stopped the fight in the corner after round two.

Cris Cyborg KO 3 Hitomi Akano — Total domination by Cyborg, who landed 61 of 104 total strikes (59%) to just 10 of 24 (42%) for the over-matched Akano. Cyborg landed 26 of 55 arm strikes (47%); 11 of 15 leg strikes (73%-9 kicks and 2 knees) and 24 ground strikes. Cyborg was also 2 for 2 in the takedown department.

Cris Cyborg KO 2 Shayna Baszler — Cyborg had a huge second round, landing 53 of 75 total strikes (71%), including 47 of 69 arm strikes (68%). Overall, Cyborg landed 68 of 98 total strikes (69%), including 48 of 72 arm strikes (67%). In her two fights tracked by CompuStrike, Cyborg outlanded Akano and Baszler 129-16 in total strikes.
