CSAC Denies Bill Mahood His Appeal Hearing

Bill Mahood was denied an appeals hearing this week to contest a one-year suspension for testing positive for the steroid Drostanolone following a Strikeforce bout at the Playboy Mansion in Los Angeles on Sept. 29.

California State Athletic Commission Executive Director Armando Garcia informed The Fight Network via email that Prince George, British Columbia's Mahood was late in filing the necessary paperwork and scratched from Tuesday’s agenda, which also included the appeal of UFC Lightweight Champion Sean Sherk.
