Dana White Addresses Rumors Of GSP vs. Anderson Silva At UFC 206

UFC President Dana White recently spoke with BT Sport to promote this past Saturday’s UFC 204: Bisping vs. Henderson 2 pay-per-view in Manchester, England. During the interview, the UFC boss addressed talk of a potential long-awaited Georges St-Pierre vs. Anderson Silva dream match, which has recently been rumored to take place at UFC 206 in December.

According to White, not only is St-Pierre not fighting “The Spider” as fans have been dieing to see for years, he’s not fighting anyone, as the UFC President is still convinced that GSP “isn’t even close to fighting.”

“It’s so not true,” said White of the rumors of a St-Pierre vs. Silva showdown in December. “I know everybody keeps talking about it, GSP isn’t even close [to fighting].”

As White continued, he reiterated the same point he has been making anytime the subject of a GSP return to the Octagon comes up — St-Pierre has no interest in fighting again.

“I’m telling you again, I don’t think GSP wants to fight,” said White. “I keep saying this. You guys know fighters as much as I know fighters, do you think GSP wants to fight? GSP wasn’t crazy about fighting when he was fighting!”
