Dana White Wants BJ Penn To Retire If He Loses Against Frankie Edgar

During an interview with FOX Sports 1, UFC President Dana White says BJ Penn’s upcoming fight against Frankie Edgar at The Ultimate Fighter 19 Finale (7/6) could very well be the last time we see “The Prodigy” inside the octagon.

After a Hall of Fame worthy career, a third loss to Edgar will be the end of the road for the former UFC Welterweight and Lightweight Champion.

White said:

“It could be possibly watching Michael Jordan playing his last basketball game. It could be Tiger Woods’ last golf game.

This is B.J. Penn’s last fight possibly. If he wins, we’ll see what he does from there, but if he loses, I will actually push for him to retire.”
