Exclusive Goulet Injury Update & Info On His Next Fight

Chris Howie reporting…

Jonathan Goulet, who is coming of a first round submission loss to Dustin Hazelett at UFN 11 will be looking to get back in the cage to fight around December.

During the armbar submission that was used to beat him back in September, Goulet's elbow popped causing an injury. Goulet told MMANews.com, “My elbow popped in my last fight but luckily I did not need surgery. I am doing physiotherepy right now and should be able to train soon.”

After speaking with Goulet it looks like he could possibly be fighting in Alberta. “They miss me in Alberta,” Goulet stated. “It's been a while since I fought in western Canada”.

Goulet, who had a pretty busy schedule up until Sept. 07 should be enjoying his must needed rest but that is not the case, “I hope to be ready to train again next week and if I can that I hope for a fight in December. I know it's not all about me but that is when I want to fight.”

With the mention of Alberta it could be possible that Goulet will be looking to fight in a possible December Hardcore Championship Fighting card. The organization has been landing a lot of big names lately while bulking up their roster and Goulet would be a great addition to the welterweight division. Only time will tell where Goulets next fight could be but one thing is for certain, he can not wait to get back in there.
