Fedor's Camp Issues Statement On Next Fight

Fiveouncesofpain.com spoke with M-1 Vice President Jerry Millen, and he told the site while on behalf of WAMMA Heavyweight Champion Fedor Emelianenko's camp that champ has no plans to fight on New Year's Eve in Japan:

“As of right now, Fedor is not scheduled to fight on New Year’s Eve in Japan,” pronounced M-1 Vice President Jerry Millen to FIveouncesofpain.com. “He is contracted to M-1 and Affliction and he’s scheduled to fight in America for them in mid-January.”

It is too early to say what will happen for sure but Fedor most likely has his heart set on the Japan fight unless something big comes from Affliction over the next few months. In terms of Millen's statement that could be taken for what it is worth considering he is the same guy who denied the sale of Pride to Zuffa up until the papers were actually signed.

More as it develops.
