Now that I got my rant out of the way, I think Weidman is a tremendous fighter with great potential but he really needs one more win before his shot to make him a true contender. Belfort v Weidman make it happen Silva! (Joe Silva)
I simply think that a champ should fight at least twice a year, and he should roll with the guy who is the most deserving at the time. Both the challenger and the champion should have to prove they deserve the title by winning title fights. No matter how great a champion is he doesn't deserve the belt if he isn't fighting the #1 contender. If that contender was not worthy of the champ then the champ will get an easy pay day, but if he can beat the champ then the champ should not be the champ.

P.S. Anderson isn't the only one who doesn't defend the title often enough, but he is the worst about it. (unless you wanna bring up GSP and his injury layoff.)
