Except when he said that he had no intention of fighting Weidman after the UFC declared him the #1 contender. That's the primary reason people are annoyed about the Weidman situation. It's just shitty that a champion would say that about the declared #1 contender.

It doesnt matter what Anderson said or was told to say. the UFC makes the fights... Do people honestly think Anderson is pulling the strings behind the scenes... Do they realize that Chris has had back to back surgeries since his last fight.
Anderson has since
said that he would probably fight Bisping or Weidman. Yet you choose to ignore that.
Bisping just clearly lost... Hector is tied up... Weidman is looking like he may get his shot sooner than later...
I dont think the UFC or Anderson were trying to withhold a shot from Weidman at all, why would Dana want to do something like that. He just doesnt get the fight when he wants it. Andreson has to be good to go, as well as the UFC setting it up.
He called out Anderson right after he beat Munoz, a few days after Anderson beat Sonnen... and rightfully so, good for him. He needed some exposure to try and get him a title shot... only he has been out since August... that little detail is being left out...
people are bitching about Weidman not getting his shot, while he is currently rehabbing an injury.
