I've said repeatedly, I don't care why he doesn't want it. Nobody but Anderson himself is equipped to try to explain why. So I'm going to focus on what, which is factual, rather than why. I don't need to worry about what some slackjawed fanboy thinks, I'll stick with what actually happened and focus on that.
Does that dumb it down enough for you?
Unsurprisingly, you're missing the point.
I'm not trying to argue that Weidman deserves the shot. I'm saying it's shocking that before he was offered a shot, before he even said anything like "give me a shot with Anderson;" soares and others in Anderson's mismanagement team had Chris's name in their mouths. That's surprising. Then what propels that even beyond surprising is when Anderson himself states that he has no intention of fighting him. That, to me, is shocking. That, to me, is an illustration of the impact Weidman has made, and his potential.
I don't think Fedor's resume is padded. I think Georges has beaten better opponents than Silva has, and--until recently--he'd done it without melodramatic diva antics.
The Okami fight was the best win Anderson has had in almost 5 years.

Dumb it down for me, why cause you used big insulting words like fanboy lol you crack me up kid, you are starting to sound desperate on this one. You literally can't say that you only care about what rather than why when you were the one who said "minimally it means..." when you say "minimally it means" you are literally going beyond the what and speculating as to the why and that is why I came back with what I said which was to simply illustrate that there could be another why and that your why was not the only why. I will gladly dumb down this last paragraph if you can't get it.

That to me just makes it sound like Silva took your lunch money when you were a kid. I didn't want to jump to that conclusion before but that to me makes it pretty clear. You simply don't like Silva as a champ for whatever reason it might be and that clouds your judgement as to how good he is, and you desperately want Weidman to do what Sonnen couldn't do in 2 fights. I know you said almost 5 years, but lets look at who he beat in the last 5 years...
almost exactly 5 years ago
Dan Henderson - One of the most decorated fighters of all time
Forrest Griffin - Former LHW champion
Demian Maia - A beast, did you see what he did to Fitch, he didnt learn how to do that after the Silva fight, he was always that good, Silva just made it look easy.
Chael Sonnen - He beat Okami which led Okami to go train with him
Vitor Belfort - I wont even get into why he is more decorated than Okami.
You call me a fanboy, but Im not even one saying that Weidman shouldn't get the shot. I have posted time and time again that if most people only think he should get it out of a process of elimination, then that right there makes it clear that he isn't the only one that could get it. Rockhold has just as good a claim. And I think Rashad would too had he won Saturday night. You however sound like a Weidman fanboy, by being blinded to the fact that he would not be robbed by not getting the shot and having to fight one more fight.
