I thought Gomi had all 3 based on the criteria of effective grappling, striking and octagon control but knew that judges would give Diego as they continuously tend to misinterpret effective grappling and octagon control by ignoring the stuffed takedowns and that you have to do something with the takedowns afterwards. I did not think any of the judges would give round 2 and 3 to Diego so the fact that 2 did is mind blowing.
Also, Diego is one of the biggest overachievers to step into the octagon. His skillset is poor in general, and has really risen the ranks with aggression, cardio and heart. Reminds me of Guida.
