its entertaining. i like seeing that stuff in movies. i know its impractical and doesn't happen in real fights, but i think its cool to see. just like its cool to see two people fight with lightsabers. the problem is, people see the guys in the movies and say "well he's clearly a badass" and think that in a fight he'd be able to flip kick anyone to death. kung fu and other martial arts you see in movies like that are cool, but have no place in the cage. i remember my sister took a self defense course with some guy that was in a few kung-fu movies and they taught her a lot and she had a cute little gi and whatnot, but when she tried to show me her moves she got mad because i was countering in ways that anyone would counter with and she had no idea what to do. and i'm not even a trained badass, i just know some grappling from watching MMA all my life and a little bit of wrestling in high school.
