I still don't see how anyone thought that Sanchez lost that fight. Alessio barely showed any offense. Sure he stuck a few jabs in here and there but it was never enough to win any round in my opinion. Diego pressed the action the entire fight. He was throwing some good punches as well, nothing that had enough on it to knock someone out but enough to score. Alessio, to his credit, had phenomenal takedown defense, but he followed it up with nothing. He definitely had Diego to a point where he was frustrated and should have capitalized on it. Instead he just sat back and waited for Diego to act.
I honestly saw that fight 30-27. I think that far too many people are used to seeing Diego dominate a fight and because he wasn't as dominant, thought that he lost. If this were anyone else y'all would have picked Sanchez IMO.
But hey, everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
Next. Whoever thinks that the Hughes/Gracie fight was rigged should get a life. Why would you have Hughes dominate and have the MAIN EVENT end so early. If I was going to fix this thing, I would have had a late third round ending to this fight after a war. That would be the best thing for the sport. If you have a legend fighting a champion and you make it a war, people would tell everyone they know about it. The sport would finally get some respect from mainstream sports media. If you go to any of the major sports news oulets, there is still no mention of MMA whatsoever. Its sad really especially now with its popularity. Gracie was overwhelmed by Matt. End of story.
