Part of what makes boxing so great is that it has its roots planted in countries all over the world. Mexico, Cuba, Argentina, and so many other countries all have strong amateur programs that produce some of today’s top professionals, and these roots are planted so deep, that the sport will be forever kept alive. The same certainly cannot be said of the UFC.
Oh yea because all the fighters in the UFC are from the U.S...

That doesn’t sound like the greatest money maker in the world. Plus, opening a UFC gym in a country with deep boxing roots would be like trying to introduce cricket to a baseball oriented country---it’s just not going to happen.
I guess he doesnt realize that boxing is part of MMA? And that many of the things you'd find in a boxing gym, you'll find in MMA training centers?...well all the things and a whole lot more.

They’ll keep seeing the same fights over and over again and look for more, until they’ll realize that the lower level fights are quite boring as the fighters aren’t nearly as skilled as the big names (and believe me, nothing is more boring than watching two inexperienced UFC fighters wrestle on the ground for fifteen minutes).
Watching a long boring MMA fight for 15 min. is better than suffering through a long 12 (36 min plus rest time) round boxing match. Of course the "low level" fighters arent boring but honestly, every MMA fight you see isnt going to be the most exciting...but it wont be a long as a boxing match.

There is so much more to boxing that people can appreciate. When Cory Spinks is dancing circles around Roman Karmazin, a twenty year old girl who has never seen the sport in her life can understand at he’s doing, but when Royce Gracie is working his magic on the UFC floor, people have no idea what’s going on. A lot of times, they don’t even understand why fights are stopped!
More to appreicate with boxing? Two guys, with gloves trying to hit the others head or body. And the fans know what Gracie is doing on the ground. I guess he just doesnt understand, but he will in 10 years.

But soon, fans will realize that despite its beauty, the UFC is just a Paris Hilton type with little substance, and they’ll return to the girl that has too much depth to ever be replaced.
I think he's confused boxing with MMA. I use to watch boxing from time to time but lost interest in it long before I began following MMA. And this isnt a knock against people who like boxing...but if a boxing fan thinks there more depth in a boxer than a MMA fighter, then they've probably taken one too many shots to the head.
