Ha!
Coconut oil is also good for aiding in preventing/reversing(to a degree) stretch marks.
Great for the skin, hair, and body!
the truth of the matter is, when the tropical islands were making alot of money on the tropical oils (used as most "deep frying" and cooking oils at the time) the North American companies starting releasing slanderous ads to increase their profits. They filled poor studies making cocnut oil look bad by coming to absurd conclusions so they could continue to promtoe their product.
Turns out when the switched from tropical oils to Trans fats they hurt everyone. The only safe amount of trans fat is 0, but North Americans were getting(some still are) 50-150gams per day.
AHHHHHH!
The short of the long is that: Coconut oil is good for you.
A much better choice when frying foods over olive oils, and other vegetable oils. The high saturated fat content does not breakdown and go rancid. Butter is also an acceptable choice for frying but it's use should be limited.
Most tropical oils are better than the North American cousins.
