I dunno what the numbers were but he probably makes $400,000 per fight as it is, he must be trying to get another $100,00 out of it if he is to make it to the finals and lose.
He is a great fighter and one the most exciting to watch but he in no way hold the cards in Pride, if he were in UFC he could pretty much call the shots but Pride's HW division is so deep he does not have as much leverage as he would like but Pride will of course keep as long as his demands are reasonable becasue he does draw a huge amount of attention and has certainly built a home in Pride. |
Yea i agree,(wow thats a first for us) but i think the pay scale in the GP are different then single fights and I know he was mad about the loser of the Final not getting paid. So I wonder if they changed the whole thing to where they are paying the loser of the finals, or they just upped the pay for Mirko. If the latter is true i dont see why Wandy,Nog and Barnett wouldnt hold out for more money also. Anyone know more spefics of the agreement they came please feel free to share. But in the whole scheme of things they made a good business decision by doing whatever it took to keep Mirko/Wandy II on this card. I dunno bout you guys but i wanna see this fight just as much if not more then Chuck/Wandy.
