Pride, not sure but UFC IMO it is the same reason Rampage is not in UFC and it's because UFC would have to market them as "the fighters who beat their champs" (if they did not, once people found out it would destroy some of UFC credibility) and in order for UFC to maintain this mythical status with Chuck and Rich they need to distance themselves from anything that would prove otherwise. Even avid UFC fans that have been watching it for yoears but still do not watch other organizations don't know about rampage or Lyoto, their only exposure is when they are seen at a UFC event as a spectator or brought into the ring like Wand but if you do not research to see who they are, you'd never know and UFC is well aware of that.
Rampage would be a beast in the cage, Lyoto would fight exactly the same in a cage, both would've been huge pickups for UFC yet they did nothing to secure them so IMO for the reasons stated above that is why.
Also, Lyoto's return in WFA washis first fight in over a year and it was obvious, his skills are rusty. He did beat Franklin and Penn (Vernon sucks) but h is also heavier than Penn. He is certainly a great fighter if he can get back into his groove so I hope to see a Rampage vs Lyoto match sometime down the road (this is likely what WFA has had in mind since the beginning of this all).
