What does Pride have to lose if Wandy were to lose? Absolutely nothing, the fight would still bring a huge amount of publicity to Pride and Wandy would obviously not go out there and ket KO'd if Cro Cop and Hunt were unable to KO him (and trust me, if Chuck could not handle Rampage in 03 and barely handle Overeem there is no fucking way he could handle Cro Cop or Hund, sorry but its fact) so lets say Silva did lose, his performance would be world class in any event so it would gain Pride more American fan base regardless of the outcome (and I honestly could not see Chuck winning as great of a fighter as he is).

UFC on the other hand would have an absolute ton to lose.. Think about it, they have a HW champion that is the laughing stock of MMA, a MW that has been injured all year and the #1 contender came from Pride, beat the living shit out of UFC's undefeated iron chin Leben in 56 seconds and Leben did not land a single strike. So the UFC has Hughes which Pride knows is the best champion in UFC and he wold be champ in Pride if Pride had a WW division, and they have Chuck and Pride is supremely confident in Silvia.

He had not lost a fight in his weight division in over 5 years in Pride before Arona beat him. The fact is that after the UFC 61 stare down, UFC internet searches (Yahoo pole) went up around 60%+ and Wanderlei Silva's went up over 400%! UFC fans were very interested in Wanderlei after this mean looking animal like beast came into the octagon, stared down Chuck in such a manor that only Silva is capable of and talked that shit to Chcuk during the stare down.

The fact remains... Pride did not back out of this fight and the simple proof for that is the fact that Silva is fighting Cro Cop in the OWGP. Obviously Cro Cop is a much more dangerous fighter than Chuck.

Regarding the TOPIC: I'm sure Silvia did decline as after his ridiculous comments about calling Fedor a "little shit" and then going on to say "I'm not ready for Fedor yet" he knows he is not ready and that Fedor would manhandle the sloth and probably break something of Silvia's be it a face, arm, or ankle.

I am a fan of both orgs but when you are discussing HW in both orgs there is no comparison. LHW is a little closer and if Wand was not ther then Chuck would have a very good chance at beating Pride other top LHW though Arona would give Chuck tons of trouble.
