Franklin fighting a TUF guy who was unproven in a real fight isn't the best selling point where as Matt fighting Royce is going to easily sell. Franklin can't help Matt's division is more stacked, that's why he said he'll be champion longer. After he beats Silva there's no one left. Hughes will still have to contend with GSP IF he gets by BJ and he isn't 'raping' either of these guys as was shown in their first encounters. GSP knows the mistake he made and it won't be so easy for Matt to lock an armbar on this time around, i think you're highly underestimating how good GSP is. |
The PPV Franklin fought on that only yielded 11 million was not vs Quarry, it was the Crow and it was a huge card as it had GSP vs Penn in addition Swick, Marquardt, Stout, Fisher, Hominick and Edwards the problem was that Franklin does not have a large following.
his match with A. Silva will show us where he is at amoungst the MW's.
I am not underestimating GSP at all, I know he is great but the fact still remains, when the fight went to the ground and GSP was on his back, he was undeniably raped.
I did not mention Penn as he is going to be dropping to LHW and no I do not think he is going to beat Hughes at UFC 63. Hughes is the Fedor of UFC and after he beats Penn, then GSP gets his much deserved rematch and is served another L it will rain true that Hughes is the best WW ever to grace MMA.
GSP will not be champion before he is 25 or 26 years old when Hughes passes the torch.
