Eh, not necessarily. More organizations use a cage than a ring if I'm not mistaken. But other than that it's really just a matter of going with either the elbow attack on the ground, or the knees/soccer stomps. There's arguments in favor of each, knees/soccer stomps will probably never be allowed in the U.S. At least not until SportsCenter is running highlights of MMA every morning (aka - the sport is 100% accepted and there's no fear of it being shut down for being too brutal and bloodsport-like). Elbows cause cuts which stop fights inconclusively. Other than that, there really isn't much difference in the rules anywhere.
