Sakuraba was making in the decent six figures American for his PRIDE fights, and by comparison Yoshida and Ogawa have earned very high six, and sometimes low seven figure amounts for their fights.

I'm behind Sakuraba on this one, unless he was the one asking for all the crazy fights he got, at the price he was being paid compared to guys like Yoshida and Ogawa, than a move was the right thing. I heard he wanted to be part of the Bushido Grand Prix but was persuaded to again fight monsters on the main PRIDE series again.
Sakuraba is a legend, if it wasn't for him saving PRIDE after the failed efforts of Takada (at least in terms of legitimacy, not box office results) then PRIDE wouldn't even be what it is today. He should be treated better, and hopefully he is in HERO's.
As a fan, they've got Royce Gracie so we could see that rematch although I doubt it'll ever happen, Genki Sudo, Kid Yamamoto, Yoshihiro Akiyama, Gilbert Melendez, Ivan Menjivar, Caol Uno. And shit, if he wants to keep fighting crazy giants they've got Brock Lesnar now apparently, Heath Herring, Bob Sapp (maybe not anymore), Akebono (lol), and guys like that. So they've got some decent fights for him, and I think he's even rumored to fight in their next tournament.
