I think that is the point they want George to look good and he has faied each time they have given him anything. The thing that sucks it that he might just have the Joe Riggs syndrome. That when you are in the Gym you are better then everyone (Horn said that about Riggs) but when it comes time to be in the ring you freeze or just loose your cool.
Bam! That's on point, Mensch. People who saw Gurgel on the show were expecting him to be the next big thing. After realizing he was injured before the show even started, but did not want to sqaunder the chance to be on the show, people are still waiting for him to be a star. He could never pull the trigger in the Hominick fight, now TUF fans are still waiting. The UFC suits think he has great commercial appeal and being a pal of Ace Franklin does not hurt. Personally, I think he is too nice a guy. Running a training studio/academy has a lot to do with it. If you see a guy act like a psycho/asshole, would you send your kids to his academy? (See Matt Serra. TUF 4 is a season long commercial for his school!). That said, Gurgel has to transform into "No more Mister NiceGuy" for 15 minutes when he is in the Octagon. He gets that 'X' factor, he will start piling up the 'W's"
