Yeah and it's not like these guys have overall losing mma records. The majority of them are seasoned vets, who just had unfortunate luck in the UFC. Pete Spratt at one point beat Robbie Lawler and was offered a shot at Matt Hughes for the title, but turned it down. Matt Serra is a very well rounded fighter, as is Shonie Carter. Charles McCarthy hung with David Louiseau until a well placed kick caught him and ended the fight. Patrick Cote went 3 rounds with Tito Ortiz. And not just any Tito Ortiz, a Tito who had been training for Guy Mezger, who is NOT to be taken lightly. Cote stepped in at the last minute as a replacement and didn't even have much time to train. A good amount of these guys were legitimate contenders, or even threats to the champions at one point in their career. Then they just sorta fell off.
