You may be right in saying that GSP didn't take Serra seriously, but GSP said that at the time he was about to fight Serra he had some personnal problems in his life. Was it true? We can't really tell. But having watched him figth many times, it wasn't the GSP I knew against Serra, and I don't recall GSP using excuses for his other losses, so in my opinion it was true.
