People are always going to try and spin a situation to their opinion.
How can you take away the rep and accolades a Pride fighter has collected?
They are fighting new, different fighters now with new rules, new cage environment etc. I'm not trying to be a nuthugger, but whats wrong with saying that Forrest was that good against Shogun, rather than saying that Shogun sucks now? Or that Chuck was simply the better man against Wandy instead of "pride strikes out again"?
Other fighters like A Silva and Rampage are mowing everyone down yet they are now "the best of the UFC". I will admit that Crocop seems to have lost his edge and willingness to win but it has nothing to do iwth his pride background..I think it is more of a personal issue.
To always look at this situation so negatively is a disrespect to Pride, it's fighters and the spirit of MMA as a whole.
I'm going to start viewing some of these posts as another form of fighter bashing if it becomes an issue and starts offending people.
