just so people don't think i wrote this shit here are some of the sites it popped up on

ww.snopes.com/politics/soapbox/proudwhite.asp
ww.geocities.com/brainxp/proudtobewhite.html
ww.truthtree.com/Politics/posts/345230.html

Also i would actually like to hear some peoples opinions, to be honest i grew up in a really racist place, but its hard to be racist when my brother, yes my actual brother is half black.

I don't know much about politics, or anything like that, i don't really pretend to know about them. Thats why i wonder about whats said in here, would it really be racist, or just a rant from someone.
Without trying to extend this thread any longer, I'd point out that judging the current state of civil rights without looking at history is niave and short sighted. When people from underrepresented groups fought to gain the amenities the quote you posted lists; the people in power did more than call them names.

One of the issues is the lack of unity among a mainstream [White] culture. People from an underrepresented group are forced into varying states of unification by an oppressive culture, and thus make more progress toward social change.

The bulk of White America doesn't really care if there is a White History Month, and so they're not willing to fight and get called names about it.

Everyone got made fun of about their name when they were kids, but when it comes to making fun of someone's ethnicity then it is a different situation.

edit: this thread should probably be moved to the politics and religion section at this point... it was a stupid fucking thread to begin with.
I think it's poor taste as well, and plays to the lowest common denominator regarding humor. I find it unfortunate that the CEO and spokesperson for the largest and most recognizable MMA organization in North America habitually makes jokes that most people outgrow by the time they reach high school.

But he's a classy guy, that Dana.
