There should be a double standard. Longtime or well respected members should be given some leeway on some matters. But its a fine line between abusing that leeway and flirting with it. I've thought several times that i would have been at least thrown in the hole for some of the flames I'v ehad, and yet never received a warning while the dude I flamed was eventually banned. Not that I'm complaining, but I assumed that it came down to...."Sandy's good poster and doesn't stir up too much trouble and this other guy has been a bitch since day one" So yeah, the double standards should apply. And although I think what Palma did was certainly ban worthy, I myself would have given him a day or two as an inmate tocool down and if he came out of the hole to continue what he started, then he would have had to go. I personally think he had earned that much, where as someone that has only been here a short while didn't have the same reputation (not rep) should've been bounced without any thought to it.
