I doubt he would agree to have a live performance, simply to count as a public appearance. They would either have to bargain it out to count for a bunch of appearances (since it is more work) or pay him.

The people who don't listen to metal are in the situation now that you would be in if they had a rap act play. Thats my problem. Realistically you are alienating fans since the common thread is MMA, not musical taste.
