Default Hatton v. Malignaggi

Both Ricky Hatton (44-1, 31 KOs) and Paulie Malignaggi (25-1, 5 KOs), and their respective trainers, Floyd Mayweather, Sr. and Buddy McGirt, confidently vowed victories in their jr. welterweight title fight Saturday night at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Pledging to show his boxing skills, brought out by new trainer Mayweather, Hatton said the fans can expect less of his “bulldozing,” and more boxing. Malignaggi, however, does not expect to see a “new and improved” Hatton.

I seriously do not understand this strategy by Hatton. The one thing that Malignaggi unquestionably has over Hatton is speed. You've been "bulldozing" fighters your whole life. Why introduce the "new and improved" boxing Hatton against a speedster?! Now, I don’t actually believe Hatton will be sticking and moving from the outside once the fight starts, but why make it the game plan in the first place?

Anyway, for my prediction I'm calling Hatton by decision. I think he applies constant pressure and smothers Malignaggi's speed. Also, his relentless body attack will affect Malignaggi in the later rounds. I hope Hatton even drops Malignaggi a time or two in the fight, but that's just my personal dislike of that little prick.
