Couple things here first, Leites has not won 7 fights in a row, its been 5.
Second, Okami is 6-1 in the UFC with his only loss coming in as a razor thin decision loss to a former champion in Rich Franklin. Leites is 5-1 in the UFC with his loss coming to Martin Kampann who is at best middle of the road contender.
Leites has beaten Jensen, Sword, Sell and McFedris... outside of that one highly disputed win over Marquant he has beaten the worse of the worse in the UFC MW divison.
Mean while Okami has beaten Swick (7-1 in the UFC) and Tanner (Former world champion). He was also suppose to fight Anderson Silva @ UFC 90 but broke his hand.
The only guy who should get a shot @ Silva maybe before Okami is Maia, and even then thats pushing it.
