In my opinion: Brock will defeat Mir
Here's a few reasons why:
A. Brock got caught the first time (lesson learned?)
B. Brock is too big and strong for Mir
C. Brock only has to worry about being submitted from the bottom (1 dimensional Mir)
D. Brock is much quicker than Mir (footwork, boxing, ring control)
E. Brock has realized this is MMA, training in all aspects fighting.
F. IF you think Brock was winning the first fight (got caught), well I think this time around... he's sure to have improved (witnessed vs Randy).
Does Mir have the skills of a "kung fu master from chinese movies"? lol
I don't think so!
p.s. Unless Mir trains his ass off to gain speed, he's losing this one. |
Couple of counterpoints I'd like to make, if I may.
"Brock is too big and strong for Mir."--Right. Which kept him from getting submitted in their first fight. This statement by itself is absolutely inane; I don't think anyone doubts that Brock could bench more than Mir, or that his hands are bigger, but to list that as a PRINCIPAL factor in this fight is questionable. People said the same thing about Gonzaga and Sylvia when they fought Randy
"Brock only has to worry about being submitted from the bottom."--Lesnar is a wrestler; exactly where do you think Mir is going to be if this fight hits the ground. No way does Brock have any confidence in his own guard yet.
"Brock is much quicker than Mir (footwork, boxing)."--Did you see the Mir/Nog fight? Mir's striking has improved by leaps and bounds; while Brock's is solid, its not there yet.
Look, Lesnar can win this fight, I'm not disputing that. But anyone who writes off either of these fighters is severely shortsighted.
