| Chant Fedor at UFC 100 and make history?! Quote:
What started as a simple thread on one site has turned into a potential phenomenon, and you can help!
It all started two weeks ago as a man calling himself “Large Midget” made a post on the forums over at Cagepotato.com, saying “how cool it would be if the crowd chanted Fedor’s name before/during/after the upcoming heavyweight belt unification match” for the attendees of UFC 100 in Las Vegas. People liked this idea and suddenly the thread began popping up on other sites, including Sherdog and the UG. Now this madness has escalated into its very own site, Fedor Chant - Chant Fedor.
Albeit a very sparse site, but we all need to start somewhere (case in point, my hideously bare site about two months ago).
The purpose behind this mob chant according to the thread starter is, “that this fight doesn’t truly determine the best heavyweight in the world because Fedor is still #1.” WAMMA title or not, Fedor is the best fighter we will most likely never see in the UFC due to a variety of reasons. Will this chant solve the problem? Most definitely not. Will it piss off Dana White? Probably a little. Will it be cool if the fans chant this at the live show? Hell yes. However, I think we should elevate this one step beyond and come to the event with fedoresque buzzcuts and sambo outfits with Affliction emblazoned on the back.
Ultimately, the true test will be the DVD of UFC 100, where we see if Dana White truly respects the fan base enough to either leave the chant in the release or remove it and redub the audio, much like WWE does with their pay-per-views when the crowd is dead. If this chant does happen, it would be very interesting to see the end result in the form of this DVD release, since chances are Dana will either dismiss this or simply call Fedor a childish name.

Would be interesting to see if anyone from the ufc would make a comment or completely ignore it.
