I've got Gonzaga all the way here.

In the standup battle, I think Mir has the crisper boxing but I think the strength and power lies in Gonzaga's hands and feet. Neither really have the gas tank to really trade all too long on the feet, but I think the blistering ferocity of Napao will overpower Frank's skilled fists and potential knees. Any potential legkicks Frank throws will be met probably with a slick singleleg shoot and that's not where he wants to be....

Because on the ground, Gabe is just on a whole 'nother level than Mir. The jits that he'll be bringing to the table is far far superior to Frank's, which I've always felt looked more akin to Barnett's catchwrestling with really good subs. Gabe'll be able to impose his weight and will on the ground with a more solid, stronger GNP approach to his ground game and I don't think Frank'll be able to get out from underneath Gabe, but I think Gabe could from under Mir and I don't think Mir would even be able to secure a solid wrist control without eating enough shots to have to go to his back.

Gabe's weakness is the gastank, but Mir's is pretty shitty too and with this muscle he's been "adding", I think he's cardio may be a little lacking moreso now if it becomes a grappling contest and if Gabe takes this to the ground and REALLY leans his bodyweight into Mir, applies pressure with fists and elbows... I don't think Mir'll be able to survive under Gabe, before he gets RNC'd or kimura'd. Counterwise, if Mir gets on top, I think Gabe has the jits to really sweep the hell outta him and he's umpteen times better off his back than Frank.

As far as subs go, they've both got tonnes in the arsonal to draw from, but aside from those tricky armbars and heel hooks, which I don't see Gabe letting Mir put on him, Mir has nothing to really throw at Gabe, that Gabe doesn't already have ten times better. I'm not trying to be too much of a dick, but it's really not even a comparison in regards to jits because the difference is so astounding. Frank has great jits, but Gonzaga is one of the very best in the entire planet, especially at HW. Much like the Nog fight, Mir'll be too afraid to take it to the ground and he'll probably do everything in his power to keep in on the feet, where I just see him getting bullied, tossed against the cage, shot on, singled and taken down and pounded like a ragdoll.

Gabe via GNP Rd. 2.
