2 replies on a topic about a strike that cause permanent damage? ACL surgery is not a cake-walk and not easy to come back and fight 100% from quickly. Maybe a full year to be full strength.

Also, very few fighters use this kick. Is there some fighter code not to use it? Silva, and Vera have used it but considering there are hundreds of fighters only 2 or 3 come to mind. Are they considered dirty fighters for using it? I think it is a dirty tactic and unnecessary as it is meant to maim and not punish. You cant tap while your knee is being hyperextended from a kick.
