I think it's usually done in good ol' fashion fun for the most part. The USA USA chants aren't any different than chanting for your fav. hockey or baseball team.
I am Canadian, and I wasn't offended, nor am I when the Canadian national anthem is boo'd at sporting events in the States.....99% of it is harmless fun......IMO
