To me there are lots of issues with the current judging system in MMA and something really needs to be done to sort it out. Not only does it seem to result in controversial wins in a number of fights but it also seems biased towards certain aspects of MMA. It is the bias that I think could be considered the biggest issue. In my opinion takedowns are scored too highly in comparison to TDD, attempt 10 takedowns but only succeed in 1 then judges seem to give you the points. Also do judges actually give any points value to a near submission, I am not just talking about a sub attempt but a near submission, to me they appear to be ignored.
