Yea you can make the arguement that he should have let the fight go on since there was only what 40 seconds or so left but I think he would have been put on the floor again before the round was out and the ref would have stopped it. He had no concept of how to defend himself while hurt, didn't attempt to tie up or anything. Just inexperience and over confidence. You have to train for every situation and obviously there was no training done for the possibilty of him getting hurt.
