People forget that Ruth also was a very successful pitcher before changing to a hitter.
The question would have to be who is the most dominate athlete over the last 100 years to include Ruth.

Michael Jordon is the the most dominate athlete that I have watched in my time. I also agree that as a pure athlete Bo Jackson was best of the best. Jordon might also be chosen as the best competitor of all time.
