They can easily give a top 5 opponent that will stand and bang with him. Like I said before Rich Franklin can fight Bonnar.
I disagree more importantly Bonnar isn't on his level skillwise and would likely get KTFO. Put it this way if they fight we can bring back that bet you nagged me about. |
I agree that Rampage has made a lot of money for and from the UFC. But at this point it appears from the outside that the relationship has soured. I really don't see that there is any commercial reason for the UFC to particularly consider Rampages wishes. It makes more sense in fact to minimize any risk to their brand, and devalue Rampages as much as possible. Whatever organisation he goes to fight next it's likely to be a competitor of the UFC.
So while the UFC could book him against a top five fighter, there are good reasons why they shouldn't.
I agree that Bonnar could get knocked out by Rampage - much like every opponent he has fought. Page has enough dynamite in his fists to put anyone to sleep. Having said that, Bonnar has a granite chin, and is no stranger to a brawl. While Rampage has a skill advantage in standup and wrestling, Bonnar has the edge in submissions. I actually genuinely believe this is a winnable fight for him. Especially when you consider that Rampage might struggle for motivation against Bonnar, while Bonnar would see this as a career defining opportunity.
