I do like sonnen alot, but he isn't my favorite (hendo). Anderson is my least favorite fighter not named diaz. I like Sonnen because he is an iron jawed wrestler, & he is sometimes funny. I dislike Silva because I consider him to be extremely fake. The man talks about respect like its necessary for him to continue living, but he is the most disrespectful fighter I have ever seen (not named Diaz). Before this fight it was the clowning & dancing. For this fight it is unquestionable that he threw that shoulder at weigh ins & intentionally grabbed the shorts for an extended period of time. I won't even focus on the greasing& the knee, but those things are shady at best. The shorts thing bothers me the most. Alot of people do not think that grabbing the shorts affected the outcome, but anything that helped Silva stay off his back is a huge deal. The way I see it, unless he pulled off a sub, Anderson had 5 chances to avoid getting double legged. Grabbing the shorts helped him stay vertical, and as we all know a vertical Anderson is a dangerous Anderson.
I hate just because someone is a great athlete, fans want to think that they are a great person as well too. Anderson gets pissed if someone disrespects him enough to want to fight him (at least if they are Brazilian). Anderson sometimes tries to deem certain challengers unworthy (IMO win you win the belt you lose the right to pick your opponents). I am probably one of the few people who though the Forrest fight was incredibly disrespectful on Andersons part. You don't pretend to try to help a guy up that you just knocked down. I don't even have to rant about the maia & lietes fights, or soares. I just dislike Silva so much.
The worst part is my friends though. They aren't hardcore fans, and they often times unintentionally say super annoying things (it was a fluke that sonnen could take Silva down, sonnen was on roids, wrestling is easy to learn, ect.). I would probably dislike Anderson less if it wasn't for them.
