I REALLY wanted sonnen to win. I was so mad in the first fight when sonnen didn't just hold Anderson down and take the win and now fry started again that sonnen tried a spinning backfist that cost him the fight (though nothing in that one was guaranteed obviously).

I like sonnen usually. I find him very entertaining and funny....usually. I like how often sonnen says things that people think but then he takes it to the over the top stage, which is funny still often enough. Alsoa big part of my like for him is that he waged war on Anderson.

I don't like silva much at all. I think in some ways his greatness has been a product of his division. If he fought at ww or LHW I think things could be quite different....even lightweight really. I'm not saying he isn't great, but. I think who he has faced helped a ton. Silva's personality also drives me insane....fighter personality. Every time he gets the hint that he might have to face someone that is any kind of threat he seems to complain. He has built up guys that were no threat at all. His philosophy of you I beat you once I don't need to do it again also annoys me. If rashad drops down, I will be stunned if you don't here some sort of statement that Evans does not deserve a title shot......the Mia fight. Silva doesn't strive for greatness. He was given the title and has said he likes being compared with greats, but he seeks out no challenges. Dana said he only fough at 205 because he was asked and they weren't really the toughest opponents for silva. Bj penn hadn't done what silva has but got a title shot at ww.....why because he strived for greatness. Silva in my mind thinks why push for anything? I have the title already. I can just hang in a division with very few threats and avoid bouts or rematches as long as possible with those who are......and always be the best. His hypocracy of respect is another one......

I could rant more but meh. I like sonnen ok but am not a huge fan I guess. There have actually been times when I cheered for silva but more and more I can't do it. I want to because he has some amazing skills but yeah.....there is my two cents for the day.
