But Overeem gets a shot from beating Brock, who's previous fight was a loss to Cain? Or his boring fight before that against Werdum? Or his one title defense in almost 3 year before that, for the company, that his association with, got him into the UFC? Or was it because he got popped for high testosterone before his last scheduled fight
Realistically neither have truly "earned" the title shot more than the other, or than anyone else. But they have to give it to someone soon, and those 2 are the closest to the top. The fact that the UFC already promised Cain the title shot, and they should stick to that promise, IMO.
