No Hendo does not respect Jones or want to be his freind, he wants to beat him and take the belt. So Jones should also want to beat him and keep his title. It's as simple as that. Trying to figure out who the "real" Jon Jones is, is in and off it'self pointless. He's a guy on TV who fights, that all most of us will ever really know about the guy. You may like him or dislike him, but I have a feeling that he's going to remain successful throughout his career. Even if he does lose one day, I think he would bounce back and win a rematch with who ever beats him. And those who thinks a loss will make him more "humble" I hope you're wrong and remains who he wants to be. Maybe it's just my personality, to go against the majority when it comes to personality issues.

And I won't lie, when I hear White People or any race talking about a black man losing so that he can be "humbled", that does bother me a little bit. I know it's not a skin color thing for most fans, but it does draw images of Jack Johnson and other fighters who people wanted to see lose and "humbles", so that they would "know their place". So many fans are just unaware of that history with Black Athletes, and many just don't care. And that's fine, but to me Jones is a unique talent with a style no one else has. I want to see him succeed and and infuriate his critics. I would root for him no matter what color he was, but I do admit to rooting just a bit harder because he shares that intimate history with so many Black Athletes that have come before him.
You're insane. What about bisping. He has already been ktfo and we all still want to see him humbled again and again. People who look for racism when there is none to be found. Those are the people who help keep those sentiments alive.

Just so you know where I stand. I attended UFC 145 desperately hoping Rashad Evans (a black fighter *gasp*) would knock jones out. I wanted rashad to get his retribution and humble that kid. I proudly wear my UFC 145 shirt anywhere I go. It has two black fighters on it and guess what I'm white. I know you never said all of jones' haters were racist but assuming that even most people would want to see him lose because of the color of his skin is baseless and ignorant.
