Here is the thing, gripe & complain you could say Anderson does about each of his opponents. But every single one of the opponents the UFC has put in front of him, he has beaten & convincingly...no question, no controversy (yes including Chael).
At this point in his career, just as many said about Fedor & claimed he had a right to, Anderson deserves to take fights that intrigue him. He wants fights that will make him the most money which is why the GSP fight is something he has pushed for a while now.
St. Pierre is 5'10, has a 76inch reach & walks around about 194 (source: UFC Quick Quote: Georges St. Pierre could weigh as much as 193 pounds against Jake Shields on fight night - MMAmania.com )
Anderson Silva is 6'2, has a 77.6inch reach & walks around about 210ish (sorry cannot find a direct quote or link but I believe this to be true)
So this debate that he only wants to fight the little guy is a tad disengenuous. Honestly I just think at this stage in his career, at this stage in his life he is more concerned with big money fights & unfortunately Weidman/Belcher/Stann & even Belfort for that matter are not big money fights.
Now Bisping, hate him all you want but a Anderson v Bisping fight could generate some nice numbers...we all would enjoy seeing Bisping obliterated & Anderson would perform that task quite nicely.
But no doubt that G.S.P. v Silva would be one of the biggest MMA PPV's ever, especially if backed with a nice undercard.
