St. Pierre is 5'10, has a 76inch reach & walks around about 194 (source: UFC Quick Quote: Georges St. Pierre could weigh as much as 193 pounds against Jake Shields on fight night - MMAmania.com )
Anderson Silva is 6'2, has a 77.6inch reach & walks around about 210ish (sorry cannot find a direct quote or link but I believe this to be true)
So this debate that he only wants to fight the little guy is a tad disengenuous. Honestly I just think at this stage in his career, at this stage in his life he is more concerned with big money fights & unfortunately Weidman/Belcher/Stann & even Belfort for that matter are not big money fights.
Now Bisping, hate him all you want but a Anderson v Bisping fight could generate some nice numbers...we all would enjoy seeing Bisping obliterated & Anderson would perform that task quite nicely.
But no doubt that G.S.P. v Silva would be one of the biggest MMA PPV's ever, especially if backed with a nice undercard.
Here's the problem with this swiss cheese logic....Silva owns the MW championship belt. He wants to choose who he wants to fight? Vacate the belt. You don't get to choose who the number 1 contender is when your the champ. Fedor bounced around different orgs and took fights he felt like but he wasn't the champ of an org holding up title defenses while he did it. If Silva wants to fight and keep the strap, he's fights who he's told to fight. If he wants to fight Shogun, GSP or whoever at a catch weight or a MW of his personal choosing...lay that belt down and let Belcher and Weidman fight for it.
