Munoz being ranked 3rd or 4th really shows what I have felt for a long time. Rankings mean absolutely nothing. I do not see what he did to accomplish such a high ranking. Who did he beat? Maia? Leben? CB Dollaway? So what. Mid-carders all day long. Vitor's win over Franklin (sure it was at catchweight) was a bigger accomplishment than Munoz's entire mma career.
I think these days, "hype" plays in to a lot of rankings. Here today, gone today.
I'm not trying to downplay Weidman, I just think he should fight at least once more before getting a shot at Anderson. I do think Chris is a threat to anyone, but he isn't fighting just any champ. Anderson is on another level. He is a living legend and p4p best in the world. Regular contenders no longer are valid.
